    Our theme this year is "Better by Every Measure." The theme speaks to how we are all growing and improving. This conference will include many opportunities for us all to show our best skills and share our best practices. 

    April 30 RAEN Workshop "Are Your Students Ready for the GED?" available through this separate registration at this link.  This training is free and will count towards RAEN PD hours.  To attend the NYACCE conference in addition to this RAEN training, you must register for the conference separately.

    Title: Motivational Interviewing

    Description: This workshop is designed to empower case managers in the skillful gathering of accurate and comprehensive information crucial for assessing student needs. Through the lens of motivational interviewing, this session aims to equip case managers with the tools to adeptly uncover barriers, facilitating collaborative efforts in the pursuit of both short-term and long-term goals. The primary focus areas of this workshop include building trust and rapport, effective communication, exploring goals, and action plans. By the end of this workshop, case managers will be equipped with the skills and insights needed to employ motivational interviewing effectively, fostering a collaborative environment that propels students toward their educational and personal paths.

    Title: Managing ASISTS Data and Reporting Through GED Manager

    Description: GED Manager, as a stand alone database, is a great tool for reaching out to new students, assigning GED Ready Tests, and producing score reports to help guide student instruction. However, when used in conjunction with ASISTS, GED Manager can help ensure programs are getting well deserved credit for student HSE success. Join us for a short lunch-and-learn where we will explore best practices for utilizing GED Manager to help ensure accurate reporting and accountability in your program’s ASISTS data.
