2013 Students of the Year Honored
On March 5th, the Clarion Century House
was the setting for the 2013 Outstanding "Student of the Year" award ceremony.
NYACCE recognized twenty-three students from across New York State. It was a special night for all those in attendance as the award recipients shared their success stories with their families, friends, NYACCE Board members and guests from NYS Education Department. On March 6th, the award recipients, nominators and family traveled to the Legislative Office Building for scheduled meetings with their legislators where they had the opportunity to speak to them regarding supporting continued funding for adult education programs across the state and how these opportunities enabled them to achieve their goals. They then visited the Capitol building where they were able to see the Assembly in session. It was a truly memorable event!
