The New “Side By Side PLUS” Promotes Learner Persistence

New standards-based lessons and multi-level activities offer adult learners English for life skills and work in the new Side By Side PLUS program. The presenter will demonstrate how the program promotes learner persistence through its core methodology and its motivating media with text materials that encourage learning at home.

The Adult Education Workforce Development Team has provided document and procedures for adult education programs to adopt for compliance with ADA legislation. The items include: simplified ADA policy for posting, presentation formats, grievance policies, ADA coordinators, as well as various forms for receipt of information and release of information. Hear from adult education program staff on how they have taken ADA and developed procedures that have integrated regulations into their practices. Learn how the integration of ADA policy has had a positive effect on the program. Discuss with the panel steps to incorporate a successful ADA strategy for your program.

How to Teach Bare-Bones Phonics
