Please join NYACCE in honoring New York State’s outstanding adult educators at the 66th Annual NYACCE Conference to be held April 24-26, 2017 at the Albany Marriott.
NYACCE represents agencies and adult education programs throughout New York State that are committed to providing lifelong learning opportunities for adults. Teachers are a vital component of every adult program and are responsible for making a difference in the lives of our students.
Nominations of teachers who represent multiple fields of adult education such as community education, family literacy, workforce development, alternative education, and distance learning will be accepted until January 20, 2017. All program administrators submitting nominations must be current NYACCE members and may only submit one nomination per category. Other NYACCE members may recommend a nomination to their program administrator for submission by the program administrator as part of the program’s total nomination portfolio.
The 2017 Teacher Recognition Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. The sponsoring agency will be responsible for all expenses incurred by their recipient in connection with the Teacher Recognition Luncheon at the NYACCE Conference. Additional details will be forwarded to the programs of selected nominees. For the nomination packet click here
A candidate who is a NYACCE member in good standing, or an immediate family member of a NYACCE member, is eligible to apply now for a $500.00 scholarship to pursue a credentialed post-secondary education program. The scholarship is competitive and reviewed by committee. Completed applications must be received by March 15, 2016. For more information go here.
